BENJAMIN HAASTRUP-QUORNOOH
He graduated from the University of Ghana with an LLB. [Hons] degree in 1980, enrolled at the Nigeria Law School and was subsequently called to the Bar in Nigeria as a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court in 1981. After his call to the Bar, he worked briefly at the Director of Public Prosecution's Department of the Rivers State Ministry of Justice, Port Harcourt.In 1984, he moved to Lagos and joined the law firm of the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi, SAN [Senior Advocate of Nigeria] where he was exposed to intricate and high profile political and commercial litigation. In 1990, he established his law firm, Haastrup & Co in Lagos and continued to engage in political and commercial advocacy.
While in Nigeria, apart from individual high networth clients, he also did briefs for commercial institutions like Wema Bank, UBA Bank, Zenith Bank and Ghana Airways Limited just to mention a few.
He was called to the Bar as a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana in the year 2000 thus becoming eligible to practice law in the two countries. He relocated to Ghana in the year 2004 and established Alliance Legal under whose auspices he now practiced as the founder and principal which was changed to Alliance Partners.
Alliance Partners practice in Ghana is a mixture of advocacy and corporate law. These include Commercial Litigation, Commercial Investments and documentation, Land Law, Property documentation, Company law, Labour and Insurance laws and Maritime Law.
DR. KOFI MBIAH
Dr.Kofi Mbiah graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon, in 1980 with a Bachelor of Laws degree, LL.B and in 1982 he became a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana after obtaining his Barrister at Law certificate B.L., from the Ghana School of Law in 1982.Dr. Mbiah holds a Masters in Marine Management, M.M.M. from Dalhousie University, Canada, a Master of Laws, LL.M, from the IMO International Maritime Law Institute, Malta, where he graduated with distinction and was the recipient of the IMO Secretary General's Award for Best Overall Performance. Dr. Mbiah also obtained an MBA from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration in 2005. He obtained his PhD. in Maritime Administration from the World Maritime University, Sweden in 2011.
He has also represented Ghana at both UNCTAD and UNCITRAL Conferences. Dr. Mbiah was also leader of Ghana's delegation to the UNCITRAL sessions for the development of the Rotterdam Rules. He is also the chairman of the Legal committee of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
From 2006 to 2013. Dr. Mbiah was a visiting professor at the World Maritime and Lund Universities in Malmo Sweden. He has also presented papers at the Maritime Law Seminars for Judges of the Superior Courts of Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya.
He has also consulted variously for local and international bodies including the Regional Maritime University in Ghana and the World Bank. Dr Mbiah has also been involved extensively in maritime litigation involving the arrests of ships, maritime liens and mortgages and the recognition and enforcement of foreign maritime judgements and arbitral awards.

MR. KOFI AMENYAH
He graduated from the University of Ghana with an LLB Hons Degree in 1981 and was called to the bar in 1987 as a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. He obtained a Diploma in International Trade Policy from the WTO Training Institute in 1995 and an LLM in International Economic Law from the University of Lausanne in the year 2009.Mr. Amanyah has attended several International and WTO Trade Seminars where he delivered Papers. His area of specialization includes International Sales and Related Commercial Transactions.
IRENE MARIA QUARSHIE
Irene Maria Quarshie is a pupil at Alliance Partners.She graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon in 2009 with a Bachelor of Laws, (L.L.B) Degree after completing her Qualifying Certificate in Law in 2009 and subsequently called to the Ghana Bar.
Irene Quarshie also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science obtained from the University of Ghana Legon, in 2005.
She has since her graduation in 2013 worked as a pupil with Alliance Partners; undertaking the drafting of Legal Documents, representing clients in court in commercial and corporate matters, interpreting legal documents and handling debt recovery for Banks and other Financial Institutions.
